For my 34th birthday weekend of September 26th 2020, I flew my son, Jaydin, to Miami for the celebration. Upon visiting North Miami Beach, Jaydin enjoyed new experiences like: swimming in the ocean, eating beef empanadas and digging his feet into sand. Witnessing his pure joy, I briefly forgot we were in a global pandemic. I realized at that moment: Freedom is within us. It’s in our experiences. It’s in our homes. It’s in our families. It’s in us. Thank you Jessica Goldman Srebnick and Goldman Global Arts for granting me the opportunity to share my son’s story on this beautiful building!
